ABOUT US

Canadian Classics Rugby is a non-profit organization that strives to operate in accordance with the provisions of our national governing body, Rugby Canada.

Initially formed in 1995 by Canadian International Tom Woods the Classics seek to connect and build friendships throughout the global rugby community. Through a quarter-century of reuniting former national team players, running kids camps, and raising funds for others we have recognized 2 key factors that have helped our program evolve

1.    A lifetime of service to rugby can take its toll on our bodies, minds, spirits, and support networks - which has unfortunately left some truly outstanding players unavailable for Classics selection, and;

2.    Canada is blessed with many talented, capable, and deserving rugby players who haven't had a chance to wear a maple leaf.....until now!"

Today the Classics not only seek to reunite Canada’s former representatives, but also to supplement them with top provincial, regional, and club players to form outstanding invitational touring sides. If you think you’ve got what it takes to be a Classic, or know someone who does, go to the “Nominations” tab on the Main Menu to submit your information to the Classics Board for future consideration
